I can relate to this - my father always makes me feel spoiled:

Seriously now - don't we all have dads/grandfathers not missing a chance to tell us their life hardships? From stories about them escaping kidnappers, walking 7 miles to school every day, cooking dinner for their families, or all the dead-beet jobs they worked to make end meet.
